Narrator: Sahaja Yoga a unique Discovery and a gift to mankind.

A unique Discovery which was done by our Reverend Shree Nirmala Devi Ji in 1970 and now in every corner of the world is connected to this. Today we are going to meet Mr VK Sharma from Ambala.

Interviewer: Viewers you welcome once again in our special presentation where we are able to meet people who have not only read about Religion and truth but they have felt that inside them. With every meeting and with every increasing journey which let us meet with a traveller who helps us in meeting our own life. And in this journey, we will be having Mr V.K Sharma as our guest who is a resident of Ambala. Sharma ji you are most welcome in News Dnn studio.

Mr V.K Sharma: Thank you.

Interviewer: Before we begin our conversation with Sharmaji we would like to tell you something about him, he is a chemical engineer from 1966, he had served as GM in sugarcane factory he stepped in this spiritual path in 2004 it is a journey of 13 years and the speciality of this journey is that there is no barrier of age, no barrier of religion and you will see that all the guest, traveller who come here you can relate with them, with their spiritual journey. Friends, brothers and sisters let us continue this journey.

Sharmaji we want to know that in 2004 how at this age you choose Sahaja Yoga what were the reasons behind it?

Mr V.K Sharma: I was searching for it before. In 1986 there was my aunt who died and after she becomes widow just after her marriage so she lived with us, with my father and mother, I was very attached to her. I used to work in Pondicherry at that time with Hindocha. So I came to the house and did all the last rituals and return from there. And that few neighbouring woman came to our house to meet and they were having some discussion that they went to the house and he was not sitting on the ground. So we asked what we should do? Because we do not know as I came and I sat on the chair did some talk and express my grief.

And it was told later that to have a reading of Vishnu Sahasranama. So we did that. And what happened was my wife she was very religious minded and when we got married she brought a Ramayan with her. She used to read Ramayan she requested me to also read it, so I started reading it and once we finish the reading the whole book we along with our children went to Rameshwaram and we would complete this journey in 6 months. we used to donate money in front of the picture of Shri Ram it was our charitable Institute, Hindocha charitable Institute we used to donate there so that it would be used for children. So when we left Pondicherry.

Interviewer: What was the year?

Mr V.K Sharma: In 1988, then there were a company sugar machinery manufacturers in Lucknow they also have offices in Delhi so I joined them. I worked with them for 1.5 years around. Then in Mathura ATV they also used to produce sugar, machinery projects India Limited I got associated with them. And maybe it is because it is Sri Krishna’s town Mathura, before bestowing divinity on you it starts working upon you many years prior that. So divinity was connected to me with five Gods that is Sun, Vishnu, Shiv, Shakti and Ganesh. While residing in Mathura I worshipped them. But there was a pain inside that “you are a person of sugar factories and now why you are associated with this manufacturing company?”

The expansion was going to happen in Deoband. So I went there for expansion and did the work there and I had friends there who were General Manager and I was in projects. In those times I used to keep fast on Sundays and I used to offer water to Sun and to have only sweet that day, so I had developed these habits, and it continued but in that busy life I was cut off, Something was going in my mind that I couldn’t do that much.

So after that, I worked in Gorakhpur for one year and my mother Ji used to say “you have done enough work, now take care of your children. leave your job you have done enough now it is a matter of their education and you should look at it you have to make your career”.

In 1997 I left the job and I came to my parental home that is in Shahabad Markanda. At that time my daughter used to read in Pune and my son was doing electronics engineering at Maulana as it was convenient for him so we shifted in Ambala. While living in Ambala may be due to materialistic reasons we bought a building, where my wife started a school there. And in front of the school, there were few women who did…

And four to three years, we did travel with them to visit temples so it happened that I saw a poster of a program, there was Bharat Bhushan Ji and few peoples with him, they were distributing Pamphlets. So I was searching at that time so I used to ask them “what mantra are you saying in this program? What you do?” and we used to read a lot of books of Gita Press and listening to whatever Baba comes in TV shows. So he replied to me that “once you come you will understand”. So it was a matter of 2002 it happened in Laxmi Narayan Mandir in NCR where our Mr Mahajan who organised the program and when this program was going on I was reciting mantras within. And from there we got the introduction book and we also got a picture of Shri Mataji which we placed in our house with other Gods and Goddesses and we also used to chant her name. And in Sector 9 the centre used to be held and

it seems pretty far distant, we went few times there then stopped. I also had a partner who quit so I followed him. So the program continued like this. It was the incidence of 15 August 2004 I went out of my home and I saw the poster that there is a program of Sahaj yoga in Ambala club I do not know somehow there was a sound that came up in mind “please at least go there, now” I attended the program and I can join Sahaj yoga and after that I do not have to look back. One problem initially that I faced was I didn’t felt vibrations but there used to be tranquillity inside me the children’s used to work sitting behind me. I used to feel the strength and also I also feel hunger.

And in Pune, there was my daughter’s entrance test so I took her there and we stayed in a hotel and Hotel was of Mr Shaw and there Shri Mataji photo was placed and seeing it we became surprised but we didn’t stay in that Hotel because its tariff was more. We stayed in another hotel it so happened that we thought of seeing the Shri Mataji picture on that Hotel, they told me that in the Kothrud there is the centre of Shri Mataji. You must visit there but we weren’t able to go there. Now for the result, I had to again go there my daughter said that you go alone but I took her with me, and I said ok let me visit the Kothrud centre. She said “are you here for me or visit that centre,” I said “no I have come for you” and after thinking a little she said Baba you may go there and I will manage. So I went there but it was not open it was closed and it was said that for new aspirants arrangements are done in upstairs also and when I went upstairs as I entered the room I saw Shriram in the altar of Shri Mataji.

Interviewer: Whom you worshipped.

Mr V.K Sharma: Yes although I worshipped many Gods.. Shri Mataji looked like Shri Ram and for the first time which we all called vibrations started flowing through my hands through my Sharara and after few times when I saw all around me…

Interviewer: Sharmaji we have to interrupt you in the middle, you did chemical engineering in 1968 it is a completely different subject and not related to religion and now you are talking about consciousness. Could you please tell our audience that the knowledge that you have learnt and the knowledge that you experienced what was the difference between the two?

Because by your educational qualification it is a completely different path for religious affiliations. Because if we talk about chemical engineering and that too in an era of 1960s very few students chose that field.

Two things that came in our discussions which we didn’t have before first is you said that you started doing Sahaja Yoga but you stopped doing it for around 2 years, from 2002 to 2004. We generally asked this question to our guests that “what difference you have noticed before and after coming to sahahj yoga”

but we will ask you that after coming to Sahaj yoga you didn’t continue it for 2 years you did not do meditation. So you get two situations firstly when you are completely unaware of Sahaj yoga and secondly was when you knew it but you didn’t do it. And that period when you completely submerged in it.

Mr V.K Sharma: In 2002 a public program was held, I didn’t feel anything. But there was this curiosity so I brought the introductory book, and we had the pages of that book enlarged and pasted in our wall have other deities and also we kept Shri Mataji’s picture.

We also did Durga Saraswati path we used to remember mother in that form. And two or three times I went to the centre. Initially, there was peace of mind. But I don’t felt realisation which we call vibrations that are felt as cool Breeze from our hand, I have not felt anything.

Interviewer: Sharmaji sorry that we are interrupting you, you have used a word “peace of mind” it is said that there is no peace greater than religion and there is no beautiful path other than this. After having which person can become satisfied.

You have told that before joining Sahaja Yoga are you used to read Ramayana you used to go to Rameshwaram and you had great faith in temples. So in that peace of mind whenever we do something like this we get relief and especially if we are in the path of religion if you go to mandir or Masjid or Gurdwara so where our soul gets peace. So the peace and tranquillity that you get after doing worship and devotion for so many years and the peace and tranquillity that you had after joining Sahaj yoga, what are the difference between the two?

Interviewer: There was only one difference, in that my ego was involves, that is “I’m doing the puja”, “I am sitting that much in meditation”, “I have done this and I have done that” and this was there, that “I” am doing something and after I had the realisation and as I progressed in this path a depth came that, “I am a medium and I am not doing anything, it is the divine’s play that which doing everything and it is happening through me” that is the difference.

Interviewer: We will continue this discussion with Sharmaji and we have interrupted him two or three times in the middle. The beauty of Sahaj yoga that has come often in ouur previous discussions, he again have brought that into perspective that we may all do something but if we see the reality of life there is nothing in life that we do, it is happening automatically and maybe it is experience that gives a big support whoever is in Sahaja Yoga or wants to come in Sahaja Yoga because “when I am not there only hari comes” we will proceed this discussion with Sharmaji. You have told a very beautiful thing to our audience and it is universal problem in the whole world that if this “I” is removed, this “Ego” is removed then there will be no need to care for anything there will be no need to look after anything. Everything will happen automatically, beautifully. Let us proceed this discussion forward as you go deep in Sahaj yoga what are the things that you got in the journey of these 13 year for which you can say that “God I do not need anything”?

Mr V.K Sharma: There is a satisfaction that is come into my life.

Interviewer: You are talking about you had shifted to Ambala and somewhere down the line there was materialism inside you and you thought to open a school and to run it and the journey that you have in Sahaj, I want to know on behalf of my viewers that how was the shift from that materialism to the spirituality?

Mr V.K Sharma: In 2004 it was basically a building that was built on the 500-yard plot. I gave my wife this work that search for some educated girls around in the area who are BA Pass we do not have to offer them much money, students who can give fees it is ok and who cannot that is also ok.

So we were thinking that if it goes well then we can later make a bigger School. In order to keep her engaged, we started this and this continued up to 2004 but I was not involved in it. They had requested me not to come because used to say “whenever you come you give concessions”.

In 2004 I got the realisation and in 2006 Rajneesh ji he was our city coordinator in 2004 and 2005, nowadays he is additional secretary he is in Jammu, he is in finance in Government of India, through his contact I came in 2004, he said it is your building? Why not relocating the centre here from Ambala club. So in October 2005 in Devi Lal Stadium in Gurgaon Navaratri Pooja was held after that everybody started doing the centre here. Then there was a public program on 26 January 2006 my wife said “what you are doing? Ramayan has everything” I said to her “at least you try” but she didn’t want to do so.

I was told that the water that we used to place in front of Shri Mataji’s photo make her drink that and without her notice, I used to let her drink that water. So when we were about to do the public program on 26 January she said “I am going to our school where the program was held on the top floor” and she too felt the vibrations.

So it was 2006 and 2009 and within this three years we thought to sell the school building. We have done a lot of work, not anymore. Our son used to do a job and living in a rented house so we thought “why not buy him a house?”. We give him a house in Indirapuram and we are well settled now.

At night to clean whatever we have absorbed from the environment, for that we do the Jal Kriya, I bring water for me as well as for my wife and insist her to do the Jal Kriya and gradually the distance between our Ramayana and Sahaja Yoga become merged into Sahaja Yoga. When two members of a house are doing Sahaja Yoga then–

Interviewer: A religious Journey Begins. This meeting with Mr VK Sharma Ji was very special for us. A chemical engineer from 1966 batch who worked in different business firms. Joined shaj yoga and he remained outside for it as he couldn’t understand it properly then again he Re-admitted himself in Sahaja Yoga and after that peace came in his life tranquility came. And he mentioned a beautiful thing that how religious distance that was created between him and his wife, that she believed in Ramayana and he was working in that spiritual path of Sahaj yoga and that journey of both of them become one. And in life, the most peaceful experience is when the person works with his family together. Be it roaming around, taking benefits of worldly things or most beautiful thing is to when the whole family walk on the path of truth religiousness and spirituality.

And similar journey as of Mr VK Sharma Ji, the things that he has said somewhere we all connect to that. There are few peoples in this whole world who will understand this truth and this satisfaction and search for this peace. We have done so many things in the name of religion but it is such a religious journey which is beyond all bonds which gives a person peace and tranquillity of his life.

For today this much meeting was enough. Please give us permission to leave for now. Sharmaji you came to our Studio and you have spared time for our viewers and share your experience and whatever you have said we want that our viewers may follow it in their life, experience it and proceed their journey. Once again we will come with another new personality and will proceed this journey forward, this journey will not stop until then. Namaskar.

Narrator: Viewers this was the spiritual journey of VK Sharma who is a resident of Ambala. The journey will continue and our guest will also increase and so we will get the solution of our problems and this is the objective of this spiritual journey whose name is Sahaja Yoga: A unique Discovery and gift to mankind. Very soon we will meet you with some new guest until then give us permission to go. Namaskar.
