Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi- the Divine and the Mother!

Malcolm Murdoch, Chris Greaves, Patricia Proenza reminisce amazing times with Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi

Person 1:…you know people, Mother, she was a mother to us. People find that difficult to, she’s divine but she’s a mother but it didn’t seem difficult to me. It’s like she’s your mother, whether she cooked for you, you just accepted it. It says a mother will give you.

Person 2: Well, she married you. She married, it was the only marriage and they were on the stage, we were in India. It was the only marriage.

Person 1: I remember getting married and at one point I gave Shri Mataji a hug and I think all the Australians in the hall were so … But.. you know you.. Shri Mataji and she’s your mother and of course, at the same time you had tremendous respect for her but it didn’t seem difficult to put those two things together and to accept it.

Person 3: I think one of the things about humor and lightheartedness was the spiritual context of a big tradition of the Indian guru who burns people up by looking at them if they trespass on his attention. This idea of spirituality I think was really permeating, seeking when I came along anyway, and it was pretty nice to have the Adi Shakti showing by her behavior but that is not the truth, that is right-sided super conscious aberration and the spirit obviously enjoys. I do remember one little thing and it wasn’t said to me, was said to my wife Ruth when she was staying in Bristol and Ruth was in the bedroom with her and Mother was putting her make up on, adjusting everything and, you know, do I look alright and she turned to Ruth and she said, who would be a woman? I never thought a thing of that. It makes me laugh because this is Adi Shakti, the Creator, saying this and it sort of hits the nail on the head.

-The interesting thing is, you talked about Shri Mataji visiting your home, house where she was completely again an alien concept. What is that like to have the Adi Shakti at your doorstep?

Patricia: She stayed at our flat Darwin Court  some time. We were rather nervous about it and I remember hoovering and hoovering and hoovering and hoovering and suddenly Shri Mataji had arrived, I didn’t realize. She looked at me she said, you have done this so many times already. She had just come out of hospital for a few days and we were told very clearly by the then leader, she must rest, she’s not to see anybody, you must just look after her, let her sleep and rest and we were quite prepared for this. But when Shri Mataji arrived from hospital, there were about 15 yogis arriving as well and she behaved exactly as normal, she was seeing people all day, working on them and we had catered for, perhaps, a small number of people but we had to suddenly stretch the meals to five times the quantity. I don’t know how we did it but somehow it worked all right. I think Shri Mataji must have had some of her miracles happening there. It was awesome. You know people mother she was a mother to us you know that you know people find that difficult to you know she’s divine but she’s her mother but it didn’t seem difficult to me you know it’s like she’s your mother, you know just you know whether she cooked for you you just accepted it, you know it says her mother will give you well she married you cause you marry she married he was the only married and there on the stage every Bolivia yeah that was the only Mary’s I remember getting married instead of them you know at one point I gave so much to you hugging I think is all the Australians in the hall or so you know you see and you know she’s your mother and of course at the same time you had tremendous respect for her but you didn’t seem difficult to put those two things together and to accept it.
